Luncheon will be served at noon, highlighted by the recognition of Emma and Amy Bushman, co-founders of “Bake Me Home.” Chef Maeve Rochford will speak at 1 p.m. There will be two outstanding horticultural demonstrations at 10:30 a.m., “What’s Hot in Hort.” Greenfield Plant Farm’s Jennifer Radcliffe creates dazzling mixed containers and Kerry Goode will demonstrate how today’s versatile herbs offer a season worth of edible beauty. Ladies’ Day, a Cincinnati Horticultural Society event will begin at 9:30 a.m. Maeve’s custom made wedding cakes are becoming a “must have” for Southern California weddings. Sugar and Scribe in La Jolla is open daily with a menu that offers savory entrees, quiches, pastries, salads and pies. “Cooking is my soul’s desire and eating is my heart’s calling” Rochford said. Rochford’s love of food and the memories that great foods inspire drive her to create morsels of excellence every day. She is described as “one tough cookie” in a San Diego publication and was awarded the 2015 Food Network Holiday Baking Championship. She will share how her culinary dream became a reality.
